WeSort.AI GmbH is a high-tech start-up from Würzburg that is revolutionizing recycling through artificial intelligence and is thus making a significant contribution to the urgently needed circular economy. Our deep learning systems enable both granular analysis and sorting of, for example, electronic waste and various plastics. In 2023, we were one of six start-ups nationwide to be awarded the prestigious Founders' Prize plus from the Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWK) for our systems. In 2024, we received the next major award as one of the winners of the German Founders' Prize, initiated by Stern, Sparkasse, ZDF and Porsche.

In addition, at WeSort.AI we work on research projects with well-known partners such as Fraunhofer and Siemens to combat climate change and ocean pollution.

Working hours: Full time (40 hours/week)

Home office: 20%

This is your new passion

Calibration of sensors and production of measurement runs in the field to teach in our AI systems
Assembly of analysis and sorting systems in the field and in internal production (mechanical and electrical)
Carrying out customer service, maintenance and problem-solving on site
Good communication skills, reliability and friendly demeanor in customer contact
Willingness to travel and desire to develop in a team on site in the technical center

You inspire us

Preferred qualifications

Completed training in mechatronics
Completed technician or technical bachelor's degree
3 years of experience in the production of special machines (electrical and mechanical)
3 years of experience in service
3 years of experience in the waste management industry

Minimum qualifications

Completed training in the technical field
Several years of experience in the assembly of special machines (electrical and mechanical) in the field
Willingness to travel
Very good technical understanding and practical aptitude as well as quick problem-solving skills (packer qualities)
Extremely keen to develop quickly and help shape the company
