At the end of January, our founder Nate had the opportunity to pitch our solutions for sorting out hazardous objects from WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) at the International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC) in Salzburg. 🌍
🔋 Nate presented our BatterySort, a system that uses X-ray sensor technology and AI algorithms to analyze material flows, along with powerful air nozzles to sort out hazardous objects such as battery-powered devices and batteries.
He also showcased Vision.Sort, which uses camera sensors and AI algorithms to recognize objects, paired with air nozzles to sort out different objects. One common application for Vision.Sort in WEEE, is placing it before the shredder to detect and sort battery cells, battery packs, and electrical devices containing batteries weighing up to 8kg. The second option, which can be added, is placing it after the shredder to sort additional materials such as battery cells and copper anchors. 🏭
The congress was a fantastic opportunity to expand our network within the WEEE sector and share our solutions with the industry. 🤝
